The 4th Annual Keep Portland Playful rolls into Providence Park on November 4, 2016. This fundraiser is a perfect representation of Playworks: incomparably fun and seriously impactful. It’s a celebratory event attended by key sports, business, and education leaders that features playground games, a live and silent auction, hors d’oeuvres, beverages and, of course, fun and games for everyone. This year we are honored to have Kevin Carroll, author, speaker and creative catalyst for social change as Emcee. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet some of our Rockstar coaches and junior coaches. Please join us in our mission to improve the health and well-being of children by increasing opportunities for physical activity and safe, meaningful play.

We believe in the power of play to bring the best out of every kid. We create a place on the playground for every kid, a place where they can belong, have fun, and be part of the game. Our specialty is recess because it is the single best opportunity to give every kid the chance to play every day.

Playworks is a national nonprofit organization that transforms schools by providing play and physical activity at recess and throughout the school day. Playworks restores valuable teaching time, reduces bullying, increases physical activity and improves the school and learning environment. In the Pacific Northwest, Playworks partners with more than 150 schools serving 60,000 kids through training and direct service.
